These games are great for young children or those who do not like violent games. Noctis:Noctis is a non-violent space flight simulator where an imaginary galaxy is created, and you travel through the galaxy cataloging your findings. Seiklus:A non-violent exploration game with a distinctive "chiptunes" music style.
BVE Trainsim:As you might guess from the name, this simulator puts you in the engineer's seat of a passenger train. This simulator has a large following of layout designers who are constantly expanding the world that you can operate your train in. Version 4 is the latest stable version, with Version 5 (Vista compatible) to be released soon.
Orbiter:This is a space flight simulator which focuses on the physics and controls of navigating a space vehicle throughout our solar system. Frets On Fire:This game imitates the commercial Guitar Hero game, and allows gameplay via keyboard or various guitar-style controllers. Frets On Fire is open-source and several mods and variations have been developed, such as a version for blind players. Icy Tower:In Icy Tower, you try to climb a tower as high as possible.You earn points by jumping up floors. This game is also available as a Mobile application. Enigma:A popular puzzle game where you navigate various complex landscapes and try to advance as far as possible. Due to the complexity of the challenges and number of landscapes, few players have ever advanced to the highest levels. The Fool's Errand:This is a puzzle game from the 1980's. A modern sequel is expected any time, but for now, the original version is somewhat challenging to install as it was made for very different technology than we have today. The web site has instructions on how to get it to work on various operating systems. Frozen Bubble:A 3d puzzle game that features single player, 2 player, and network multiplayer action. JigsawMaster:Start by playing the included puzzles, then create jigsaw puzzles from your own graphics files. Visual Pinball:A complex system for modeling and playing classic pinball machines. Osu!:
